!Funeral services are being arranged for Mrs. Lavina Meese Hiestand, 85, who died at 12:45 p.m. Friday in her home, 24 W. Euclid Ave. The body is at the Richards Funeral Home. Death followed an illness of two years.
Born in Lancaster County, Pa., August 26, 1855, a daughter of David and Susan Mease, Mrs. Hiestand had lived in Springfield and Clark County 64 years. She was the widow of Henry Hiestand who died in Springfield in 1926. Mrs. Hiestand was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. Survivors are three sons, Harry, Elmer, and Charles, all of Springfield, three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ault of Columbus, and Mrs. John Holweger and Miss Mabel Hiestand, both of Springfield, a sister, Mrs. Emma Kempf of Lancaster, Pa., a brother, Allen Mease, of Lancaster County, three grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
