!Obituary: Elmer Hiestand Elmer Hiestand, 73, of 16 S. Plum St., died at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mercy Hospital. He was a retired employee of the International Harvester Company. He was a native of Clark County, born Feb. 24, 1889, the son of Henry B. and Lavina Mease Hiestand. He had lived in the community his entire life. Survivors include two brothers Charles and Harry, both of Springfield, and two sisters, Mrs. Rena Holweger, also of Springfield, and Mrs. Elizabeth Ault of Columbus. The body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home where friends may call from 4 p.m. Friday until 3 p.m. Saturday at which time services will be conducted with the Rev. Kay Glaesner, pastor of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff cemetery. The Rev. Kay Glaesner Officiating.
