!Obituary: Mrs. Rena Bell Holweger, 88, of 517 N. Race Street, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the Burt Nursing Home where she had been a patient since May. She was born Jan. 8, 1883, in Hiestand, O., the daughter of Henry and Lavina Mease Hiestand. She was a 50-year member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Theodore L. and Elsie M. Hiestand, Sr., with whom she made her home; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ault of Columbus; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Melba Hiestand of Springfield; six grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her husband, John H. Holweger, preceded her in death in 1950. She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Her body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home in charge of the Rev. Vester Clevenger.
Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. From the Thurdsday, July 15, 1971 Springfield Daily News.
