!Betty J. Roach, 70 , of South Charleston, died Thursday, August 18, 1994 in Community Hospital. She was born on February 1, 1924, the daughter of Theodore and Elsie (Bowen) Hiestand and was a resident of South Charleston all of her life. She is survived by three sons, Bill Roach of Hillard, Danny Roach and Rick Roach, both of Springfield; three sisters, Mary Crabtree of Urbana, Jannie Miller of West Mansfield, and Helen Speakes of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Roach; one son, Terry Roach; one brother, Bud Hiestand; and one sister, Doris Fraley. Friends may call Sundy from 2-4 p.m. at the Jackson Lytle & Ingling Williams Funeral Home, South Charleston Chapel. Funeral services will be held there Monday at 10 a.m. with Reverend Thomas Baugh officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. From the Sunday August 21, 1994 Springfield News-Sun.
