The following was taken from the "Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post" dated Wed Sept 20, 1989, p.5, section 1.
Albert Roeder, 82, passed away on Saturday, Sept 16, at 9:55 a.m. in the Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
Roeder was a native of Gillespie County and was born here on Aug 13, 1907, the son of Ben Roeder and Anna Laura Gardner Roeder. He was never married.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, a sister Helen Boog and a half brother, William S. Keyser, Sr., both of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Roeder.
Roeder was a former lineman for the Lower Colorado River Authority and for 27 years was employed by Miller's Courts.
Graveside services and interment were held on Tuesday, September 19, at 2 p.m., in the Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Perry Woerner officiating. Schaetter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Kurt Kuhlman and Roman Weber.

A note from Mr. Voy Althaus, Sr. says that he grew up around Albert since he spent most of his life staying and working for Voy's uncle, Irvin Althaus.
I (Thomas Franklin Keyser) also spoke with Christine Nehr Gaddis sister of Lena Nehr Roeder who was married to Helmuth Roeder. Christine said that she remembered Albert very well and that he used to visit Helmuth and Lena all the time. She said that Albert was Helmuth's cousin.
